Vertical Start-Up Engineering Lead

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Experience: 

• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, high-speed preferred.
• Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies such as FMEA, TPM, VSU, CI, 5S, 5-Why, SMED, PM.
• Experience with CapEx planning and execution.
• Familiarity with Maintenance programs like TBM and predictive maintenance.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and listening skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead VSU for new capital projects, process improvements, RCA, and small capital projects.
• Liaise between engineering, operations, and CI for project design, build, and installation.
• Execute VSU Operational Readiness Checklist and deliverables.
• Define and obtain approval for project success criteria and start-up curve(s).
• Identify and manage gaps and risks in the start-up system.
• Develop a detailed start-up plan with plant management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate team activities and ensure effective task execution.
• Secure management support and alignment for the start-up plan.
• Develop and implement training strategies and material plans.
• Lead CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification) phases.
• Maintain start-up logs and conduct post-mortem project meetings.
