Our client is seeking qualified candidates for a Plant Engineer position at their two-unit coal-fired power plant. Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Previous industrial experience preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for plant process equipment.
- Design and install new and replacement equipment.
- Collaborate with consultants and contractors to achieve engineering objectives.
- Troubleshoot existing systems with operations and maintenance to resolve safety or production issues with engineered solutions.
- Identify technical and operational training needs; initiate action on capital and O&M projects.
- Monitor work activity for safety compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Assist in record-keeping of system work order files, standard drawings, and data files.
- Analyze plant data and provide recommendations.
- Monitor and recommend new technologies to improve the power plant’s efficiency, reliability, availability, and longevity.
- Provide engineering support to other departments as required.
