Education
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Color Science.
Experience:
- 6 to 10 years of demonstrated related experience, preferably in an adhesive or color environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly interact and communicate with external customers to value-sell the company’s adhesives.
- Support R&D projects critical to business as well as road mapping of technology/business development.
- Generate test plans and/or experiments.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on projects/technologies for external customers, internal teams, and management.
- Travel with sales representatives to develop a first-hand understanding of customer needs and application details.
- Develop and maintain a company product specialty and serve as a technical expert in this specialty when working with staff individually and/or on team efforts.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership, sense of urgency, self-starter – takes the initiative.
- Demonstrated project management and laboratory skills.
- Presenting results to technical and non-technical stakeholders/customers.
- Potential for up to 30% overnight travel per year.
