Which careers do we close our eyes and dream about?
Well, it looks like when most Americans opened their eyes, the majority decided to Google search how to become a Real Estate Agent or a Notary.
Really? That is what all our dreams and aspirations amount to?
No offence at all intended towards my great friends who do an amazing job for their clients, and who have helped me many dozens of times.
It’s just not for me, I love the excitement of Electricity and Flight and 4 states stood out with dreamers deciding that they wanted to become Pilots and Electricians. These are two amazing careers, very different but both with amazing rewards.
Almost everyone has dreamed of becoming a pilot, and according to Google, this includes the folks in South Dakota and Iowa.
My own experience flying solo was amazing and I loved flying beside my dad in his floatplane through the mountains as a kid. As a career, the time away from family as a Pilot would have been too much of a commitment, but I do support every dreamer who wants to become a Pilot.
The states of Oregon and New Hampshire Google searched “How do I become an Electrician” the most. To me, this is just as inspiring as becoming a Pilot and has a lot of mental, physical and safety demands, only these ones are on the ground!
Electricians are at the forefront of automation, comfort, climate change, and just about all aspects of our lives. They can start their own businesses, learn about solar energy, work on boats, and build the most important systems in homes, businesses, and our infrastructure.
Whenever a parent or young person says to me what career should they look at, an Electrician is at the top of the list because the opportunities are endless. Once you understand Electricity you can make almost anything happen!
How about you; Are you pursuing your dream career?
