Get on board with Mobile recruiting strategies

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal suggests that if your online recruitment strategy does not include mobile or smartphone friendly options you are about a year behind.  Canadian Job seekers expect high levels of connectivity in their job searches. This is especially true for employed candidates who are commuting through Vancouver International Airport or sitting in Camp a few hundred kilometers from Fort McMurray.  Companies that fail to recognize their need for instant information will be left in the dust.  A simple mobile version of your recruitment site can generate conversions and resume submissions.
Many of our candidates work or live in places with limited access to desktop computers. By providing them mobile options, candidates have easy access to our job board. In addition to a mobile site, we have set up a text messaging through our database.  This allows us to stay in contact with candidates who have limited phone and internet access.  Since implementing text messaging and the mobile site we have successfully placed a number of candidates who initiated contact through text and our mobile application forms. In his Canadian mobile usage infographic  Chris Breikss , from 6S Marketing,  notes that of the 70% of  Canadians who use mobile devices 79% do not leave home without them.  With numbers like that you do not want to miss out on an opportunity to reach them when they are on the go!
