Truck and Equipment Mechanic  –  Chilliwack, BC

Salary: $40 per hour DOE

Shifts: Monday to Friday afternoon shift. Client offers flexibility for 5 x 8 or 4 x10. No Sunday shifts ever!

Requirements:

• 3+ years mechanic experience working on trucks and trailers
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and electronics that govern them
• Heavy Equipment experience would be an asset
• Must be a team player with good communication skills
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have valid DL with clean abstract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of vehicles, including some unique computerized blower trucks (training provided)
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required
• Perform inspections and test mechanical units.
• Complete reports to record problems and document work performed.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as required
