Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Night, and Evening

Salary: $36 hourly for 35 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: North York, Ontario (4 vacancies)

Trigrand Inc. was created to service the construction and restoration industry with superior quality, workmanship and customer service. We are focused on the Building Restoration industry and are capable of providing a wide range of exterior building envelope repair services. We have worked with hundreds of clients for residential buildings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing structures and structural components made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read drawings, sketches, and site measurements to confirm specifications and materials needed.

Plan and lay out carpentry work to meet applicable building codes and project requirements.

Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, engineered wood, wood substitutes, and light-gauge steel components.

Complete framing and structural repairs, including floors, walls, and roof systems as required for restoration projects.

Install finishing items such as doors, trim, stairs, mouldings, and related hardware.

Repair and renovate residential and commercial structures, following company quality and safety standards.

Support and supervise apprentices/junior workers and assist with material take-offs or cost estimates when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience: 1 year of work experience as a Carpenter
Education: Completion of secondary school
Language: Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
