Technical Advisor 

Do you have experience in the automotive industry? SGI is currently looking for permanent, full-time Technical Advisor to join our Regina team. The Technical Advisor is responsible for providing expert advice on the root cause of higher-value losses and whether proposed repairs are directly linked to the claim. The Technical Advisor searches source material for alternate causes, conducts site inspections, and investigations to complete their analysis and determine if repair estimates are justifiable given their findings of the accident/loss. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have an Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Journeyperson certification and at least 8 – 10 years directly related industry experience. This position requires the candidate to hold a valid driver’s license. Individuals that have a Collision Repair Technician or Heavy-Duty Technician Red Seal Journeyperson certification will also be considered. It would be an asset for candidates to be dual-trade ticketed. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
