Website Saskatchewan Government Insurance

In-Scope
Temporary, Full-Time
Term Length: 1 year
Pay Range: $55,215 – $65,720
Closes: February 17, 2026

Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (in either Regina or Saskatoon), on a scheduled rotation once probation requirements have been met. Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.

Work should be so much more than just a job you do to earn a paycheque. And at SGI it is.

Of course, we offer the essentials – a competitive salary, great pension, and excellent employer-paid family benefits. But we also provide opportunities. The opportunity to do work that makes a difference in your community. The opportunity to expand your professional skills and grow your career. And the opportunity to come to work every day to a job you’re passionate about and that leaves you feeling happy and fulfilled.

Hopefully we’ve sparked your interest because we’re hiring!

We’re looking for an Image Appraiser who is familiar with vehicle repair and can use their skillset to review and approve damage estimates.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Have automotive or body shop experience.
  • Have strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with repair partners.
  • Can look at a damage estimate and identify varying degrees of repair required, including potential total losses.
  • Can negotiate and clarify estimate details with body shops to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Bring exceptional attention to detail while reviewing high volumes of estimates daily.
  • Want to leverage your leadership skills for good – like actively supporting SGI’s culture, expanding your own learning and supporting your colleagues as they do the same.

Typically, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A Grade 12 Diploma or GED
  • Platinum I-CAR Certification
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant industry experience

But we don’t want you to worry about checking every box! Leave the screening to us. We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way, so please don’t hesitate to apply. We’d love to hear from you!

What else do we offer?

Our website gives a run-down of the many perks of working with us, including:

  • Work-life balance – how does an extra day off every two weeks sound? Parental leave top-up pay.
  •  Personal development (for temp roles too!) – we invest in leadership, employee training and provide education funding to keep our work environments healthy and our teams thriving!
  •  A positive, healthy work culture – Work culture can be the reason an employee stays or leaves a job. At SGI, we’ve worked hard to develop a culture we’re proud of. And we continue to invest in our culture through training to make sure that our actions (and culture) reflect our corporate values: caring, passion, innovation, and integrity.
  • Awesome people – Seriously. We hire the best people and you get to work with them. At SGI you’ll find the work family you didn’t know you needed.

We’ve all had that job that makes us dread Mondays. Come work for us to keep your Sunday nights dread-free!

At SGI, we’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels seen and heard, and where every individual is respected. Our commitment to reconciliation includes actively hiring Indigenous people and creating opportunities for diverse talent to thrive. We offer more than a job; we embrace diverse backgrounds and experiences, provide a career with purpose, growth, and belonging. Join us and help shape a workplace where every voice matters and contributes to our shared success.

If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, we invite you to submit your accommodation request to employeeleaves@sgi.sk.ca and we will work through your request with you. All information received will be kept confidential

Remember, the position closes Tuesday, February 17th, so submit your application online by 11:59 p.m. Saskatchewan time that day.
