Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous Plumbing commercial and light industrial estimating experience working with a general or mechanical contractor
- Fluent in reading mechanical, electrical, process and control drawings, & civil drawings
- Proven ability to close complex tenders, bids and proposals
- Computer proficiency including experience with MS Office and estimating software packages
- Solid team player with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Thrives on managing multiple priorities and project deadlines
- Proficient with developing resource loaded project schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Manage all aspects of the Plumbing bidding phase during tendering
- Finalize and compile tender documents for review and submission
- Interpret documentation, specifications, and drawings
- Prepare quantity take-offs for labour and material costing
- Prepare BOMs to support procurement requirements
- Prepare submission schedules and manpower loading profile, review and evaluate vendor and sub-contractor quotes
- Establish and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships
