Experience & Knowledge:
Provincial ticket or Registered Apprentice in Marine Mechanical Technician, Marine Service Technician, Diesel Engine Mechanic, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.

Must hold valid class 5 driver’s license.
Marine industry experience.
Marine experience or familiarity with MAN, Northern Lights, Lugger, John Deere, Detroit Diesel service providers.
Recreational boating experience an asset.
ABYC Certification an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
A passion for boating is a must.
Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Computer Skills–comfortable with the use of computer equipment including mouse and keyboard and experience using the internet and email
Must have own tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service that supports repeat business and continued satisfaction of their clients.
Keep docks and work space clean and free from debris to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
Meet or exceed expectations with regard to promised times of completion.
Ensure all workmanship and quality consistent with company standards.
Inspect equipment, structures or material to identify the cause of errors or defects leading to corrected, aesthetically pleasing and functional product.
Other duties as required.
Long periods of standing and regular bending, squatting, stooping, crawling, turning, kneeling, balancing, extending arms, and grasping.
Lift/push/pull a battery weighing 59 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.
Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders and ramps) to access vessels and vessel equipment.
Ability to work at heights above 12 feet, while working from a ladder, scaffolding and/or lifts to access vessels and vessel equipment.
Ability to work in small or confined spaces for long periods of time.
Ability to wear PPE.
Exposure to noise, fumes, and/or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
Inclement weather conditions including heat, humidity and sun.
