Salary: $40 – $44 depending on experience 

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package 

Shifts: Monday – Friday days with occasional overtime available 

Education: 

  • Marine Mechanic Technician or OEM factory training an asset
  • Pleasure craft license an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are required

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in marine service (other industries will be considered with service writing/service management experience) 
  • OEM knowledge and experience (Cat, Mercury, Cummins, etc)
  • Estimating and sales experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for boats and the marine industry
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair understanding
  • Inventory, catalog, and ordering parts
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to research being a lifelong learner
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Ability to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the service, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of boat engines, running gear, and onboard yacht systems (electronics, watermakers, HVAC) on-site and in the field 
  • Coordinate and plan the provision of necessary resources, parts, and logistics for service projects, ensuring that the process is seamless, from quotation to invoicing
  • Travel between client locations and customer’s yachts throughout the Vancouver area (company vehicle or travel reimbursement provided)
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships by ensuring continuous professional communication 
  • Ensure top-quality service is delivered and that safety and environmental issues are competently managed
  • Other duties as required
