Shifts: Day Shifts: Off Season (Nov-May) M-F, Peak Season (June-Oct) Wednesday-Sunday

Requirements:

  • Red Seal or Ticket in Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanics or Mechanical Fitter
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in maintenance, construction, or project management
  • Leadership experience in a Unionized environment
  • Strong knowledge of construction and maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with safety as a top priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and budget tracking
  • Flexibility to work weekends, weekdays, and extended hours
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations and Collective Agreements is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined, organized, safety-focused, hardworking, and a team player

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Playland projects, including maintenance, inspections, and setup/teardown of rides
  • Manage a team of full-time and casual Facilities & Maintenance staff
  • Develop a strategic asset management and maintenance plan for Playland
  • Implement maintenance schedules and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines
  • Provide direction on asset management and capital projects
  • Collaborate with safety consultants and regulatory bodies
  • Conduct risk assessments and ride inspections for guest safety
  • Manage budgets and timelines
  • Lead and develop a skilled and engaged team
  • Administer the Collective Agreement for staff
  • Act as the On Duty Maintenance Manager or Park Manager during the operating season
  • Perform other duties as required
