Salary: $36 hourly for 35 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, hydronic, and gas piping systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects across Ontario, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in coordination with the mechanical team and project stakeholders.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing, hydronic, and gas piping layouts for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, piping, and mechanical systems in accordance with applicable codes and site requirements
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings using hand/power tools and shop or onsite fabrication equipment
  • Locate and mark pipe routes, connections, and fixture positions; cut openings in walls and floors as required for installation
  • Join piping using couplings, clamps, cement, soldering/brazing, and welding equipment based on system and material requirements
  • Test completed systems for leaks and performance using air and water pressure gauges; troubleshoot and repair deficiencies as needed
  • Coordinate with engineers, general contractors, and other trades to confirm scope, resolve conflicts, and support efficient project delivery
  • Maintain accurate installation and service records, and may assist with basic labour/material cost estimates for assigned work

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

·       Experience: 1 year of work experience as a Plumber

·       Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

·       Language: Proficiency in English
