Salary: $37 hourly for 30-35 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Construction Painter will support LG Drywalling Inc.’s residential construction, renovation, and building restoration projects across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area by preparing surfaces and applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior building surfaces. The role requires solid painting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on active job sites.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review project instructions and specifications to determine required painting materials and quantities.
• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching cracks and holes, and applying primer or sealer.
• Mix, match, and thin paints and coatings to achieve the required colour, texture, and finish.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, lacquer, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Measure, cut, and install wallpaper, fabric, or other wall coverings when required.
• Set up and use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely on construction sites.
• Protect surrounding areas and complete touch-ups to ensure a clean, professional finish.
• Communicate with supervisors or clients regarding colour choices, finishing requirements, and work progress when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

·       Experience: 2 years of work experience in the position

·       Education: Completion of secondary school

·       Language: Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
