Education: 3-4 year experience with Heavy Equipment and either large construction, civil, aggregates or mining operations, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience a Bachelor’s Degree would be an asset but is not required.

Experience:

  • 3 years in a role with supervisory and PNL responsibility (in addition to education requirement).

  • Experience in a position involving at least 2 of the following: operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial, and human resources function, experience as a supervisor or manager; experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications, experience preparing and managing budgets, and experience resolving labor relations issues.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills is a must

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the District and provides daily support to operators in ensuring quality and budget performance.

  • Monitor budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance.

  • Oversee personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees along with evaluating employee performance.  Provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

  • Formulate both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Market Area General Manager and/or Director of Operations.

  • Interact with local city, municipal, county and state government and agencies to ensure permit compliance, monitor new regulations, and negotiate continued business opportunities.

  • Other duties as required.
