Salary: $30.00 Hourly for 35 hours per week

TRIGRAND Inc. was created to service the construction and restoration industry with superior quality, workmanship and customer service. We are focused on the Building Restoration industry and are capable of providing a wide range of exterior building envelope repair services. We have worked with hundreds of clients for residential buildings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Machinist operates and maintains precision machinery to produce components for construction projects. Responsibilities include setting up machines, reading technical drawings, and ensuring accurate measurements. The role ensures all machined parts meet quality standards, contributing to the efficiency and safety of construction operations. Collaborates with project teams to support production goals and deadlines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining tasks and establish the most efficient workflow.
  • Calculate precise dimensions and tolerances, marking workpieces for machining processes.
  • Operate and maintain various machine tools, including CNC equipment, to perform complex machining tasks like cutting, milling, drilling, grinding, and other precision operations.
  • Assemble machined components and subassemblies using manual and power tools.
  • Inspect and verify the accuracy of machined parts, ensuring they meet required specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • May program and configure machine tools for use by other machinists in production operations.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience: 1 year of work experience as a General Machinist
  • Education: Completion of secondary school
  • Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
