  • Minimum two years experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Current and up-to-date Gasfitter B/A license required.
  • Experience with Gas equipment (blowers, fans, relief valves, pressure vessels), HVAC, electric motors, VFD’s and general mechanical would be an asset.
  • Pipefitting experience would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of provincial legislation and regulation including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (e.g., Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, First Aid, etc.).
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with harsh conditions – dust, smell, humidity, cold.
  • Criminal background check required. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure process systems are operating within capacity.
  • Complete Daily and Weekly Inspections.
  • Provide contractors with technical support.
  • Process work orders.
  • Work with Plant Operators to adjust the process and test equipment.
  • Provide technical support to Operators and Management.
  • Install and maintain equipment as needed.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance activities for gas equipment.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Other duties as required.
