They are seeking 2 Field Service Technicians/Mechanics to join their team in Portland, OR. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of equipment as well as promoting customer growth and developing new accounts. About once per week travel to the shop will be required, but you’ll get a work truck to take home and drive time is covered. Auto Mechanics and Aviation Techs will also be considered.

  • A strong mechanical background, preferably with material handling equipment or heavy equipment
  • Hydraulic repair experience preferred
  • Those with mechanical experience from other industries such as aviation and automotive will be considered. 
  • 5+ years of diagnosing and repairing experience with good troubleshooting skills.
  • General ability to perform repairs on LP systems, diesel systems, reading and repairing hydraulic and electrical schematics and systems.
  • Previous welding, HVAC, and Aerial & Lift Truck experience is a strong asset.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs, and to stand, stoop, bend, pull.
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Able to contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with the supervisor for on-the-job expectations.
  • Communicate estimated labor times.
  • Look for additional repair opportunities on retail jobs.
  • Fill out work order forms for each job and secure customer signatures.
  • Complete all necessary warranty paperwork as instructed by the warranty administrator.
  • In the event of a safety incident, complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Track and follow up on parts for ongoing jobs.
  • Ensure all parts are present before travelling to site.
  • Other duties as required.
