Position: Welding Operator

Wage: C$28 – C$36 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete fabrication process, from initial setup to final assembly. Key duties include:
• Read and interpret blueprints in accordance with welding process specifications.
• Set up and operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping and bending machines according to work piece requirements.
• Program 4 axis CNC brake-press according to drawing specifications.
• Bend metal panels with strict tolerances.
• Use MIG and TIG welding equipment to repair, weld parts, and assemble aluminum components as per orders.
• Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal; determine the weldability of materials.
• Repair worn parts of metal products by grinding or putting an extra layer of metal by welding processes.
• Maintain and perform repairs on welding and soldering equipment.
Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a role requiring both welding (MIG/TIG) and press brake programming and operation.
Language: English proficiency is required.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours per week. This position may involve an atypical schedule with non-standard daily or weekly hours depending on production requirements.

Vacation: 2 weeks (10 days) of paid vacation annually after the completion of a probationary period, with vacation pay calculated at 4% of gross earnings.
