Lortap Architectural Millwork is looking to hire a Draftsperson – Cabinet Vision Software – Technician  to work in Revelstoke, British Columbia. 

Lortap has a 30,000 square ft. Millwork Facility with all the newest high tech production equipment technology.  Revelstoke is situated in the interior of British Columbia in a beautiful small town surrounded by mountains and lakes.  If one enjoys the outdoors, this would be the place to think of living. Hiking, biking, skiing, sledding, fishing, Revelstoke has it all.  There are good medical and education facilities. It is a life style desirable town and a great place to raise a family.

Reports To: General Manager/Production Manager

  • The Millwork Drafter to prepare shop drawings
  • Complete and file paperwork that involves the shop drawings
  • Prepare cut listing
  • Ensure all required documents and paperwork are submitted before the construction process is started
  • Coordinate the details of the project:
  1. Project specifications  
  2. Dimensions
  3. Assisting with initial project research
  4. Outlining project schedules and tasks

Job Duties

  • Have experience in cabinet Vision Software and creating shop drawings
  • CNC integration and output
  • Scheduling workflow
  • Providing exemplary customer service
  • Be comfortable working with architects, designers and homeowners
  • Have excellent computer file organization skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Material take off’s and requisition
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and handle an ever changing fast paced critical work environment
  • Be a self- starter with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and use good judgement


  • Technical Diploma
  • 1-5 years of cabinet Vision Software experience (other Cad/Cam software experience an asset)
  • Knowledge of types of cabinet construction methods
  • Knowledge of the methods and techniques of CAD design
  • Skill in drafting and reading architectural plans
