D.E.L. Plumbing LTD is a growing company specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing services in the Greater Toronto Area. The company provides a wide range of services, including hot water tank repair and replacement, general plumbing repairs, frozen, leaking or burst pipe repairs, backflow prevention, drain cleaning and repair, and toilet replacement and repair services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plumber Helper is responsible for supporting skilled tradespersons with plumbing and construction activities on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Duties include preparing work areas, handling and organizing plumbing and construction materials, assisting with pipes, fittings and equipment, removing debris, and maintaining clean and safe job sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload, carry and organize plumbing and construction materials, tools and equipment at job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespersons by preparing materials, tools and work areas for plumbing and construction activities.
- Handle and position pipes, fittings, hot water tanks and other plumbing-related materials under the direction of skilled tradespersons.
- Tend or assist with construction equipment such as pumps, compressors and mixers as required.
- Remove rubble, damaged materials and other debris from construction and plumbing work areas.
- Clean, sort and store reusable materials, tools and equipment after completion of work.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools, equipment and work areas to maintain safe and organized job sites.
- Perform other general construction and trade-assistance duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in construction labouring or trades-helper work
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Language: Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
