Salary: Competitive, depending on experience. Compensation includes a bonus and the use of a company vehicle. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.

  • Journeyperson or Red Seal accreditation would be a strong asset.
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a Construction Site Superintendent.
  • Driver’s license and clean abstract required. 
  • Knowledge of a variety of construction processes & tools.
  • Safety first mentality.
  • Proven leadership ability, self-motivated for success.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Physically capable of performing construction work.
  • Adaptable and flexible personality, able to react to change in a positive way.
  • A problem-solver who brings a “can do” attitude to work each day.
  • Strong planning, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Sense of ownership and urgency in regard to project timelines.
  • Ability to build and maintain workplace relationships and resolve conflicts.
  • Completion of safety training courses and PHBI Courses would be assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize working safely; ensure Trades are abiding by all regulations; attend all Tool Box and Safety meetings; provide warning slips when required.
  • Solve daily construction problems as requested and on own initiative.
  • Ensure construction of homes stays on schedule and readiness of home as one trade finishes and the next is scheduled to start.
  • Quality inspections and follow-up with trades to complete deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Correct pre-occupancy deficiencies as requested by the Construction Manager in a timely and efficient manner using a hands-on approach.
  • Oversee work of Tradespeople on-site; ensuring timely and safe work is being done.
  • Communicate with the Construction Manager regarding Trade performance and issues.
  • Maintain a clean worksite with excellent working conditions.
  • Complete framing inspections and facilitate inspections with the City and timely correction of any deficiencies.
  • Lead construction customer walkthroughs as required (at release to field, rough-in stage, cabinet stage, selections stage).
  • Other duties as required.
