This high-level position is responsible for business and client development, project management, and strategic direction. Atlanta, GA is the both the capital and most populous city in Georgia. It is easily accessible by car from the surrounding suburbs of Druid Hills, Decatur, and East Point. It is also located within a 1.5-hour drive from the Oconee and Talladega National Parks. Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering..  

  • Equivalent experience may be considered. 

Experience:

  • 10+ years construction management experience and 5+ years people management experience required.

  • Large Project/ program experience ranging from 50M-200M in any of the following market sectors: Automotive, Aerospace, Metals, Plastics, Consumer Goods, Paper, Food & Beverage, Cold Storage and Standard Warehouse required.

  • Design-Build, EPC, IPD project experience, greenfield construction, process industrial plant projects, and heavy industry market preferred.

  • Direct relationships and experience working with Fortune 500 manufacturing companies and self perform work strategy and execution experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in simultaneously leading multiple large or complex projects and/or multiple teams.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 

  • Proficiency in construction technology, MS Office, project management and accounting software such as CMiC.

  • Advanced ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability, and generate future work.

  • Intermediate ability to apply Lean process and philosophy.

  • Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project.

  • Thorough knowledge of MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), WBE (Women Owned Business Enterprise), and SBA (Small Business Administration) regulations.

  • Thorough knowledge and application of corporate risk management policies.

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.

  • Establish and build alliances with major design and engineering firms to deliver turnkey industrial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing target clients to build new business opportunities and cultivate repeat wins.

  • Build close relationships with the subcontractor community to develop long-term partners.

  • Lead internal team and collaborate with external partners to develop contractual obligations, such as estimates, schedules, staffing and business plans.

  • Oversee and assess all components of project review throughout the lifecycle of the project.

  • Business development, marketing support, client presentations, technical proposal assembly, conceptual to final design estimating.

  • Assist senior management with strategy development; develop and support company wide initiatives, best practices and policies within the work program.

Working Conditions

  • Must be legally entitled to work in the US. 

  • Frequent travel required – about 50%.
