CNC Machinist – Delta, BC

Salary: $40/hour +depending on experience

Requirements:

  • Red Seal CNC Machinist or extensive experience (5+years) on various machines
  • Willing to set up and operate the machines
  • Able to work at tight tolerances
  • Able to keep a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Strong knowledge of metal processing techniques related to CNC (milling and turning)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce precision parts in a timely manner, utilizing CNC machinery
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications
  • Utilize CAD/CAM (Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc.) for programming and design, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Change, set, and modify cutting tools as necessary to maintain optimal performance
  • Monitor and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tight tolerances
  • Reverse engineer parts with tight tolerances
  • Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of CNC machines
  • Adhere strictly to established safety protocols
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to prioritize daily tasks and address technical challenges
  • Develop, maintain, and audit technical standards for the designated CNC area
  • Document, visualize, and report all CNC-related engineering activities to management as required
  • Other duties as assigned
