Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in European import vehicles. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to work with various tools, and a commitment to providing excellent mechanical service/repair. This role also includes a hybrid pay structure.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and HVAC.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repair or replacement.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle’s needs and repair processes when needed.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle repairs and parts handling.
Qualifications
Experience as an Automotive Mechanic with European import knowledge preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with co workers and clients.
Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
