Position: Agronomist / Customer Success AgriTech

Location: Bakersfield to Stockton

Recruiting a Sr. Account Manager for a fast-growing ag-tech company that helps fruit and nut growers optimize irrigation, improve orchard performance, and increase yields using in-field sensors, real-time data, and actionable insights.

Individual should have a strong Agronomist / Irrigation background and have credibility dealing with growers in the Tree / Vineyard sectors.

The Senior Account Manager will own and grow customer relationships across the U.S., with a primary focus on California’s Central Valley.

This field-facing role combines agronomic expertise, customer success, and commercial responsibility to drive adoption, retention, and expansion of the company’s solutions.

Responsibilities

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned U.S. customer accounts.

· Lead customer onboarding, training, and seasonal planning activities.

· Provide clear irrigation and agronomic guidance based on sensor data and analytics.

· Support field deployments and troubleshoot hardware or data issues as needed.

· Drive customer retention and identify upsell or expansion opportunities.

· Work closely with Sales on account growth and renewal strategies.

· Support and train distribution partners through field visits and follow-up.

· Share customer feedback and market insights with Product, R&D, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agriculture, or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years of experience working in the area of agriculture.

· Experience working as an Agronomist.

· Worked for vendor(s) in the ag-tech / irrigation area.

· Hands-on experience with California fruit / nut crops and/or vineyards.

· Credibility with growers, irrigation managers, and partners.

· Commercial mindset with comfort discussing value, renewals, and growth.

· Ability to work independently in a field-based role.

· Comfort with technology, sensors, and data-driven decision tools.
