The Lower Mainland is a region in and around the city of Vancouver, one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada. The Lower Mainland area is bounded to the north by the Coast Mountains, to the southeast by the Cascade Mountains and a beautiful coastline to the west. With its mild climate there are recreational activities to enjoy all year round including biking, hiking, kayaking and more.  The majority of the service calls are in and around the Surrey/Burnaby areas, although the entire Lower Mainland will be your service area.

Salary: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour depending on experience

Benefits: Comprehensive Benefit Package available after 6 months of employment.  4% vacation pay will be added to each pay so that you can choose your own time off!

Shifts:  You set your own appointments and schedules according to service requirements

Education:  

  • Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate in Plumbing

  • Red Seal or Journeyman Gasfitter with a minimum Class B is an asset

Experience:

  • At least  5 years of commercial plumbing service and troubleshooting experience

  • Experience installing and maintaining furnaces, hot water heaters, bathroom fixtures, eyewash stations, drain work, etc.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have an outstanding customer service skills

  • Must have computer literacy skills

  • Appreciate, understand and execute quality workmanship

  • Able to work independently and set your own schedule

  • Own truck will be considered an asset

  • Candidates preferably residing in Surrey or Burnaby areas

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plumbing duties include drain work, washroom fixtures, eyewash stations, back flow and lift stations

  • Diagnose plumbing and building maintenance issues and develop scope of repair

  • Estimate hours and materials, and administer work orders with project team

  • Removal of old furnaces and installation of new high efficiency units

  • Installation of piping and connection of new furnace gas piping/venting

  • Independently attending site service calls as well as dealing with clients/project team

  • Work with Suppliers and sub-trades to deliver repair scope

  • Execute approved scope in a professional and courteous manner

  • Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications

  • Scheduling and attending customer facilities

  • Test and commission furnace systems

  • Troubleshooting and repair
